Another fundamental way in which Prato Textile Museum fulfils its educational mission is via the organization of a series of adult educational programmes. Designed to interest an increasingly wide range of adult users, the programmes are organized on a regular basis with a view to stimulating the curiosity of their participants. The initiatives are thus highly specific in contents and widely varied in terms of means of implementation. Indeed as well as focusing on raising a new awareness of textiles and fashion, the courses also aim to provide moments in which the individuals participating in the initiatives may unleash their creativity and put their practical skills to the test. The adult education programmes include a wide range of seminars, workshops and practical and theoretical lessons as well as events focusing on the Museum’s temporary exhibitions.

Prato Textile Museum’s family activities include a wide range of practical educational activities requiring the participation of both parents and children. Usually held at weekends, the aim of these activities is to generate moments of fun in which the whole family can participate.
