The offices of Prato Textile Museum Foundation are located in Via Santa Chiara, 24 - 59100 - Prato.

Prato Textile Museum Foundation is legally recognized pursuant to Law N° 385 of 27/05/2004 and registered in the Regional Register of Private Legal Organizations (pursuant to Presidential Decree N° 361 of 10/02/2000).

• Enhancement of the permanent collection of Prato Textile Museum via the implementation of study, cataloguing, restoration, conservation and exhibition initiatives;
• Acquisition of further collections, textiles, clothing, textile machinery and equipment, publications and documents of all types, as well as any other items relative to Prato Textile Museum’s activities regarding textiles, clothing and textile art in general;
• Promotion of the collection of testimonies and documentation regarding textile techniques and textile art;
• Support of studies, research projects and initiatives focusing on textile techniques and textile art;
• Collaboration with institutes and public and private authorities operating in the textile sector with the same aims and objectives as the Foundation;
• Supply of integrated educational, vocational and cultural training as well as lifelong education especially with a view to involving members of disadvantaged groups in the labour market;
• Supply of services and organization of cultural initiatives on behalf of public or private organizations;
• Implementation, support and development of any activity, service or initiative which contributes to fulfillment of the above objectives.
