Governing Bodies of Prato Textile Museum Foundation
The activities of Prato Textile Museum Foundation are organized and managed by the following governing bodies:
Chairman
The Chairman of the Foundation is appointed by the Management Committee pursuant to the instructions of the Mayor of Prato.
The Chairman is responsible for promoting the life and development of the Foundation according to the provisions of the Articles of Association and the decisions of the Orientation Board of the Management Committee. The Chairman thus supervises all the initiatives and activities of the Foundation and acts as its legal representative.

Deputy Chairman
The Deputy Chairman of the Foundation is appointed by the Management Committee pursuant to the instructions of the Association of Former Pupils of T. Buzzi Technical Institute.
The Deputy Chairman is responsible for coordinating the cultural, exhibition and promotional programming of Prato Textile Museum and acts in lieu of Chairman in the case of his or her absence or inability to fulfil his or her duties.

Orientation Board
The Orientation Board is composed of the Chairman, the Deputy Chairman, one representative per each Founding Member and one representative acting on behalf of all the Meritorious Members.
The aim of the Orientation Board is to guide the activities of the Foundation, to approve the general orientation of its activities and to set and amend the annual membership fee to be paid by Founding Members. The decisions of the Orientation Board must be approved by a majority of two thirds of the voting members of the Foundation.

Management Committee
The Management Committee is the executive body of the Foundation and is composed of the Chairman, the Deputy Chairman and one representative per each Founding Member and one representative acting on behalf of all the Meritorious Members.
Pursuant to the objectives established by the Orientation Board, the Management Committee is responsible for the ordinary and extraordinary administration of the Foundation.

Scientific Committee
The scientific committee is composed of five members, of whom four are appointed by the Management Committee and one is a representative of the Department of Artistic and Historic Heritage of the Province of Florence, Prato and Pistoia. The Director and the Curator of Prato Textile Museum participate in the meetings of the Scientific Committee in a non-voting capacity.
The Scientific Committee advises the Foundation vis-à-vis the content of its programmes and its acquisitions

Director
The Director of Prato Textile Museum is responsible for the smooth running and functioning of the Museum and is especially for ensuring fulfillment of the objectives established by the Management Committee. The Director also participates in the planning of the Museum’s cultural and exhibition initiatives and the management of the Foundation’s administrative and human resources departments.

Auditor
The Auditor is responsible for auditing the accounts of Prato Textile Museum Foundation, ensuring the correctness of its bookkeeping, confirming the correspondence of its financial statements to the figures posted in its books and accounts and ensuring observance of all regulations established by the law in force.
