The staff

Filippo Guarini – Director. Having graduated in Letters from the University of Florence, Filippo Guarini completed his postgraduate studies abroad before gaining considerable professional experience in the organization and management of museum educational initiatives, the fashion industry and the communications sector. He is now responsible for planning and managing the cultural initiatives of both Prato Textile Museum and Prato Textile Museum Foundation.

Daniela Degl’Innocenti – Curator. Since graduating in Letters at the University of Florence with a thesis on the History of Textiles, Daniela Degl’Innocenti has participated as an expert in the history of textiles in the publication of a large number of studies. She is also a university lecturer and frequently offers her services to vocational training activities. As Curator of Prato Textile Museum, she is responsible for the quality of the scientific content of the Museum’s activities and the conservation of its heritage. She is also the scientific curator of the Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibition collections.

Silvia Fiaschi. Having specializing in languages at G. Pascoli High School in Florence, Silvia Fiaschi gained professional experience in the field of public relations at various museums before moving to Prato Textile Museum to manage the bookshop and ticket office of Prato Textile Museum. She is also responsible for the administration of Prato Textile Museum Foundation and the Prato Textile Museum publishing company.

Chiara Lastrucci. Since graduating in History of Art from the University of Florence with a thesis focusing on the fashion plate collection of Prato Textile Museum, Chiara Lastrucci has worked in both the museum education and the communications sectors. She is now responsible for coordinating all the Museum’s educational, communications and publishing activities.

Laura Fiesoli. After graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Textile Design from the University of Florence, Laura Fiesoli combined a number of apprenticeship and vocational work placement schemes for textile designers with work as a lecturer in the Modern History of Textiles at the University of Florence. She is now responsible for the Contemporary Section of Prato Textile Museum.

Arianna Sarti. After graduating in History of Art from the University of Florence, Arianna Sarti focused on iconographic research before becoming involved in the organization of educational activities in museum contexts. She is now responsible for planning all Prato Textile Museum’s adult education events and activities, as well as organizing its exhibitions and its photographic collection.

Patrizia Maestrini. After specializing in scientific studies at high school and studying Natural Sciences at the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Science of the University of Perugia, Patrizia Maestrini worked as a care assistant and before becoming responsible for the cleaning of Prato Textile Museum.
