Collections

The patrimony of the Textile Museum is made up of artistic, manufacturing and industrial production assets, which historically have varied origins, belong to different eras and to various categories of materials (ancient textile fragments, clothes and clothing accessories, sample books, samples of contemporary fabrics of various types and formats, tools, machinery, books and documentary paper material, etc). These are collections that bring together very heterogeneous goods by origin and type.

The general inventory of the Museum contains stocks that can be considered “closed” (historical collections), alongside other “open” ones, susceptible to increases and continuously updated following donations and acquisitions.

Here it is possible to explore the main collections of the Textile Museum.
