SILK TREASURES. Textile masterpieces from the Falletti donation
From 20 December 2024 to 21 December 2025
The exhibition celebrates the first 50 years of the Prato Textile Museum. An exceptional donation, from the Florentine physician Giovanni Falletti, give birth to this exhibition. Thanks to over 50 years of passionate research, he has preserved and collected textile artefacts, embroidery, books, prints, jewellery, historical weapons and ritual masks from Europe and many Asian and African countries.

Kimono – Reflections of Art between Japan and the West

On display are paintings, woodcuts, vintage postcards, prints and fabrics from both important private collections and unpublished collections of the Museum, but above all we find the fifty male and female kimonos belonging to the exclusive collection of Lydia Manavello.

Mr & Mrs Clark. Ossie Clark and Celia Birtwell | Fashion and Prints 1965-74
Museo del Tessuto, in collaboration with the Sozzani Foundation and the Massimo Cantini Parrini Archive, dedicates the first exhibition ever held in Italy featuring the clothing designer Ossie Clark and his life- and atelier-partner Celia Birtwell, two absolute protagonists of the London scene and pop culture of the 1960s and 70s.
